Roadtripping USA

My family and I just completed a 2 and a half week road trip in a VW Westfalia in Montana, Idaho and Washington. The trip began with a 3 day canoe trip on the Milk River ending with a day exploring Writing-On-Stone Provincial Park. This adventure overwhelmed the senses with surreal landscapes, wildlife, including rattlesnakes and holding bull snakes and lots of fine company with 10 other families. Next up was exploring the spectacular Glacier National Park and the Road to the Sun up to Logan's Pass where we witnessed walls of snow 15 ft. high and numerous waterfalls, and wild animals. Next was the beautiful lake city of Coeur D' Alene where we had plenty of water time, swimming, cliff jumping, beaching, and biking. We also had a waterfront camping spot! We moved onto Riverside State Park in Spokane biking on the newly created Centennial Trail. This spectacular bicycle path runs from Montana to Idaho and is a cyclist's dream. Swimming in the frigid Columbia River on a hot day awakened the senses. There was plenty of gorgeous scenery to soak up here. A quick visit to Trader's Joe's for some great deals on organic food and we were off to Wenatchee. With loads of orchards, Mexican restaurants and a charming main street, we strolled and biked to our heart's delight enjoying delicious yellow cherries, and authentic carne asada tacos. Next stop, Leavenworth: a little German town full of traditional houses and even an accordion playing yodeller. Here, we stocked up on sausage and cheese and enjoyed some riverside camping. Our last stop was Oroville on Osoyoos Lake for some warm water beaching.

Trips like these never fail to rejuvenate my creative mind and refresh my whole body. Exploring new places, and meeting new people gives me a greater understanding of our world. This inevitably leads to new ways for me to serve my clients better.
